The iPhone speaker has big sound for such a small speaker, it I similar to a sugarcube speaker and doesn't need an enclosure like other flat speakers. It has been trimmed to prepare it for use in a model and a hole has been sealed to improve the sound. Ideal for TTS decoder where the supplied speaker is too big for many models.
